Frontier Command
Frontier Command is a slower, more thoughtful strategy game than most on mobile. You're settling a rugged map, balancing food, materials and morale while fending off the occasional raid. The thing that hooked me was supply logistics — getting resources from one end of your territory to the other actually requires planning roads and depots.
Battles aren't the focus; survival is. You can win a scenario by out-building and out-trading your rivals rather than crushing them. I appreciated that the AI opponents play differently, so you can't lean on one strategy forever. Pinch-to-zoom and drag-to-pan feel natural, and the build menus stay out of your way.
It asks for attention, which won't suit everyone. But if you like a game you can sink into for an hour at a time, this one rewards it.
